So I added a new category called “Kurt’s Hikes” to a section called “Blogs” but when I go to edit the menu “magazin” the category does not appear under the menu item.

I can go to the category manager and that category is assigned to the “Blogs” section so I’m not sure why it’s not showing up in that menu?

Hi Marty

You need to edit the ‘Magazine menu’ and add a new menu item under your Blogs section.

You can also select your new category from a drop down menu to make sure it links OK.

Okay, this isn’t automatic then? It set up the menu originally automatically by scanning my section/category tree, there’s no way to have it do that again?

No. I’m afraid not. Every time you create a new category, just edit the Magazine menu, create a new menu item for the new category and ensure it’s linked to the correct category via the dropdown.

Then it will appear in the menus on the site and link OK.
