When I first started researching Joomla, I cam across Community Builder Plugin for Interspire Email Marketing Software. (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension-specific/community-builder-extensions/7493)

I have a couple of questions for this and probably one I will need to dwell deeper and perhaps find an freelancer somewhere.

Can this be integrated into Teline III? If so, any advice?

We will be sending out a daily newsletter of all new articles we receive (about 30 a day) to our subscribers/registered users. So having a powerful email program is very important to us.

Within the Teline III environment, is there a method I can get the latest articles by date, time including thumbnails listed on a hidden page just for me to pull from to make the newsletter? The best option would be for this to provide data automatically to the newsletter system – which I would gather I would need a freelancer to find to do this? or has someone heard of this type of option?

Also, regarding the newsletter system, would anyone know of a extension that allows users to subscribe to keywords and if an article is published with those keywords they would get an instant email?

Dear dutton!

the Teline III environment is not a environment to develop other extension, it only support methods to Interactive and control the user interface of the site.

All features you would like, they must to built – in the component 🙂

i have not deep understanding with the CB Newsletter Extension. I think that you should put your issue on the CB Newsletter Site, you ‘ll get so many best solutions on the issue.

Dear dutton,

Teline III is just a template and provides options to display the content. The Newsletter Component works from the Database of the Joomla, fetching articles / images based on its configs and articles published state and access state. The newsletter (any) component, comes with its own templates and styles, onto which JA templates do not have control.

The easy and best newsletter to use or start with would be Acajoom. But its subsription is based on newsletter, in which you can select articles to include or not. It comes with a rich backend features.

If you wish to subscribe users for daily updates, I would suggest using Feedburner (google) for the same. We use it for your blog subscriptions, all news published goes to subscriber email same day.

please dont confuse yourself with templates and extensions. Templates can never replace components and templates merely dressup the site, functionality is always provided with help of components / modules / plugins.

No no, I do understand. These were my first posts and I should have put this under General Questions. I realize CB is an extension, I was just not sure if it plugged into Teline III easily or if there were things to watch for.
