Hello.

I have a general question about CCK support.

I read the blog at: http://www.joomlart.com/blog/joomla-extensions/extend-your-content-types-using-cck-for-joomla.

I’m still a little confused. Will the new JoomlArt templates for 1.6 support any of the CCK that themselves support 1.6? For example, the new Seblod CCK 2.0 is coming out tomorrow. Will I be able to install it at this point and expect it will work in JA Anion, etc.? Or, do I need to wait until JoomlArt revises templates to support one or more CCK (e.g., summer for K2)?

HI Kevin,

CCK’s are for Joomla Framework. Our templates will work for any standard CCK component. For K2 (J 1.5.xx) we provided HTML / CSS overrides in our templates.

currently for J 1.6.xx we do not provide template overrides for any 3rd party extension. However, that does not mean that the extensions in question will not be working. They would be natively styled as joomla default.

regarding Seblod CCK 2.0 >> it should work normally with any of our templates, though we wont be able to provide extra styles for it presently.
