July 24, 2011 at 5:31 pm #166658Hello
my website is http://www.mardik.am/new
i am using ja teline iv with joomla 1.7…
i don’t use it with joomla 1.5 because 1.6 or 1.7 are faster and more user friendly, search engine friendly etc.
now i downloaded ja teline iv quickstart, installed it, updated it to joomla 1.7…. now everything is fine.
the only problem is that there are no content construction kit with joomla 1.6 or 1.7 . K2, flexicontent, etc… are for 1.5, the only CCK is ZOO 1.7 for joomla 1.7…
i need to use CCK ,because i need to have a function(multiple category entry) with zoo i can do everything, but the problem now is that the modules that are in ja teline package are not compatible with zoo…please tell me what can i do!!!!!

If the ZOO 1.7 is compatible with Joomla 1.7 then you just install and use it normally.
Please explain more details why do you think the modules that are in JA Teline package are not compatible with zoo… ?

July 29, 2011 at 5:56 am #403545Hi balgev,
JA NewsPro or JA newsfront do not support ZOO and Teline IV was made compatible with K2 and flexicontent only (joomla 1.5). With Joomla 1.6 coming in and difficulty faced in getting stable versions of CCK components for Joomla 1.6, the plan to add support for more CCK was put on hold.
I can understand what a bad news this is for you, but in future we will try to accommodate all popular CCK for Teline IV and ZOO is definitely on the radar and we really want to support it.

If you want the process of updating your site to joomla 1.7 later would be easy and less pain then i recommend you should install the ja teline iv with the joomla 1.6 latest version, it is joomla 1.6.5 version.
