    Hi
    I’m sorry but there is still a problem. The slideshow is not centered in IE8 and if I choose Moving half of the next image is shown.
    You can see here (it’s set to Moving).
    http://have.bf-data.dk
    I use ja_social
    If you choose Compatibility mode in IE8 it shows the slideshow correctly.
    1 Can this be corrected?
    if not
    2 ‘Is there a way to make the webserver force IE8 to open in compatibility mode?
    I refer to http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/centering-ja-slideshow/
    where you solved centering for Firefox, Chrome and Opera. But as I have said above it does not work in IE8

    Please make sure all your extensions are up to date using the JA Extension manager. I have note seen this problem with the latest releases. Having said that I have not seen this with the earlier releases but making sure everything is up to date would be my first point of call.

    As for forcing compatability mode that is done by simply adding a meta tag but in this case it is probably not needed.

    Please post a link to the page where we can see the problem should upgrading not do the trick.

    I have now updated to the latest versions of ja_social 1.2.1, ja_slideshow2 2.2.0 and ja t3 framework 1.2.3.
    There is no change. IE8 only shows the slideshow correctly in compatibility mode. But then the auto width does not work.
    My testserver is still
    http://have.bf-data.dk
    and the slideshow is put in user1

    If I look in template-ie8.css it looks like this:
    ja-slidewrap {
    padding: 5px;
    }

    .ja-slidewrap .ja-slide-main-wrap {
    width: 100% !important;
    background: url(../images/bg-slideshow.gif) repeat-x bottom center;
    }

    .ja-slidewrap .ja-slide-desc {
    left: 190px !important;
    width: 453px;
    }

    #save-status { background-color: #fbfbfb !important; border: 1px solid #d6e4ec !important;}

    .ja-moduleraw-style2 {
    filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.DropShadow(color=#ffffff, offx=1, offy=1);
    }Could this be the problem?

    I took away the line
    width: 100% !important;
    in template-ie8.css
    Now it works. I can’t see any side effects. But why does the line say important?
    If there is no side effects the problem is solved!
    Thank you for all your help.
