I have changed the favicon but can not find wehre to change the description information for the tab. Currently it displays “JA Tiris Joomla 2.5.x Template for E-commerce” and I would like it to display my companies name.

Would you mind getting me a few screenshots for more clarifications? Then I shall know what you are trying to achieve.
Right now, I am quite not sure where to start.

Go to the home menü item, pick Page Display Options and edit it there under ‘Browser Page Title’
