I have read all the threads referring to color change for Teline III, and I still cannot figure this out. Please visit my site – http://www.prizedplaces.com – to see what I’m trying to do. I have intentionally set it up so the website starts with the tab – Popular Cities. I want to change the red color to blue. I can’t find out how to do this. PLEASE HELP! You will notice that the JA News 2 section below only displays Popular Cities – this is fine. You will also notice if you hover over this that it is gray – this is also fine. I just want to change the ugly red color at the top.

    Hello,
Are you aware that colors of main menu correspond to colors configured in module JA News2?
When you open this in module manager, you see configuration options at right side.
You can add Section ID and corresponding color.
    for example
    8:deepblue
So look up the Section Id of ” popular cities” and enter color here.

    Good luck,
    Micrantha

    Colors in module ja news2
Does your menu choice Popular Cities the right section ID (i.c. that one with the color blue)?

I have tried to do this, but it doesn’t work. If this was the case, wouldn’t it make sense that the popular cities tab at the bottom would turn red like the top color? In fact, they do not correspond with each other, and I can’t figure it out. Popular Cities has an ID of 6, and I specified 6:deep blue in the JA News 2 module, which is why I’m getting blue at the bottom. However, it still is red at the top. How do you explain this?

    Hello

I can help you but first I need to understand what to do you want to change.. Do you want to change blue links to red links in Popular Cities module?

    Cheers

    Hello.

If you look at the site http://www.prizedplaces.com, you’ll see the light blue color that I want. It is c0c0e0 and it matches the photograph. I did this by going to the template.css document and chane the #ja-subnav ul.active [background: #c0c0e0] .

Now I do not know how to change the tab above it, which is gray right now. I don’t like the colors the template came with – pink, cyan, orange, etc. When I go to the JA News 2 module, I set it to gray by typing 6: gray. This is why I get the gray tab “popular cities” and why the tab below turns gray when you hover over it.

How do I change the gray tab above and below to c0c0e0? I just want one color in everything: c0c0e0.

    thanks, Robert

    Ok understood.

    Menu:
    01. file /templates/ja_teline_iii/css/template.css (line 965) – change background to background:#C0C0E0
    02. file /templates/ja_teline_iii/css/menu/split.css (line 35) – remove background
    03. file /templates/ja_teline_iii/css/menu/split.css (line 42) – remove background

    Tab:
    01. file /modules/mod_janews2/assets/style.css (line 33) – remove background
    02. file /modules/mod_janews2/assets/style.css (line 25) – change background to background:#C0C0E0

Let me know if everything worked.
    Cheers

Thank you for your great directions. This worked perfectly for the Tab.

It did not work for the Menu, as I don’t want the entire menu to turn purple (c0c0e0). I only want the tab that is gray, the one with the words “Popular Cities,” to be the same color as the lower menu line. How do I change the Tab color from gray to #c0c0e0?

    thanks again, Robert

    Ok Robert

Repeat step 03 but add “background:#C0C0E0”

    Hi,
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. First of all, the background line does not appear in 35 and 42 in the split.css document. It appears on line 38 and 46. Check out the attached picture. Am I looking at the right thing. Even when I change the background here, it does not work. I still have that gray tab in the menu.
    thanks,
    Robert

    Hi again.

I’m sorry but I can’t read because the image is too little.
I’m sorry if I wasn’t accurate enough. In line 42 you have “#ja-splitmenu li.active a, #ja-splitmenu li.active a:hover, #ja-splitmenu li.active a:active, #ja-splitmenu li.active a:focus {” and inside that statement you have background. I’m seeing with firebug and I could change the color. About line 35 please remove the background that is inside that statement.

    Cheers
