Where can I find the css for the main navigation bar so I can change the active menu item

It’s more then likely the ja.cssmenu.css file unless you used something besided default — then you may have to edit one of the green.css or red.css file depending on what you’re changing.

To help find what css files control what in your site I would recommened downloading a plugin for firefox called Firebug 1.3.0
