I deleted the original favicon and uplaoded a custom one and yet a day later the original joomla favicon is still showing….any help?

Are you sure you replaced the correct favicon? The one in /plugins/system/jat3/base-themes/default/images/favicon.ico?
Remember to use JAT3 Clean Cache button placed on the top-right of the admin panel e than refresh your browser hitting ctrl+f5 (or any other combo to clean the cache).

Yea but accordng to another post the actual favicon is in a different location…I changed that and it worked

Hello all !

Please put your favicon inside the template/JA_TEMPLATE/images to resolve the issue.
You should clear all browser cache or open the site on other browsers.

This was the solution that worked for me.

How does one change the favicon into a animated favicon?

Overwriting the ico file will not work and we must be editing the index.php file normally, though here the file is almost empty and haven’t found a way to do it yet.

to check it is showed or not, you open the site on other browser like as Firefox, Chrome. Or you try clear browser cache
