I agree with the idea that this shouldn’t be hardcoded. I could never show any client to hack this PHP. What I’ve done for now is replace the hardcoded php language file line with the unmodified line from the com_content / frontpage view. That line is:

<?php echo $this->escape($this->params->get(‘page_title’)); ?>

This will be the pagetitle defined in the homepage menu param.

JA goes out of their way to do work arounds for the limitations of Joomla and we all just learned a valuable piece of code. Thanks guys.

THANK YOU! Brilliant. Why WOULD they hard code? I love Joomlart…class and artistry but sometimes small things like this become huge in terms of time. Thanks to your alertness, you spared us all.
