July 21, 2014 at 5:37 am #542954Hi there,
If you would like us to help you with coding, we do provide some limited help with coding, but only to holders of JA Developer license. You can upgrade to JA Developer license at https://www.joomlart.com/member/signup.php.
Having said that, if you nicely describe what exactly you are looking to implement, we may try to find a solution without having to dive into code.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

July 30, 2014 at 5:52 am #543873I would like to have the video displayed on the k2 item page rather than have a pop up or at least a thumbnail of the video. having a video on the page would have a higher viewer rate – thanks

July 30, 2014 at 10:06 am #543904Hi there,
The best way to display video clips on your K2 items web-pages is by installing “AllVideo” plug-in.
It’s interface is very self-explanatory and intuitive but in case you have any questions, please do visit K2 documentation section as well as their K2 end user community forum. I am sure some of your future questions have already been raised, discussed and answered there for you.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

July 31, 2014 at 6:22 am #543978I have already installed all video plugin and video parameters are set up in k2 media / video field – in most cases the video is published on the k2 item page and media is set in category parameters but does not seem to show on this template.
How do i get the video to show on the k2 item page for ja obelisk ?
Thanks

July 31, 2014 at 6:34 am #543979Hi there,
Could you please give me URLs of a few pages where K2 doesn’t display videos for you? Also, please check if K2 displays videos for the same pages under Joomla’s default template “Protostar”.
Regards,
Alex

August 4, 2014 at 8:15 am #544394Hi there,
I can see you’ve already installed “AllVideos” plug-in. So to embed a video into your K2 item’s text simply insert into the text {youtube}<youtube_video_number>{/youtube}.
To get the number of your required YouTube video clip, simply have a look at its URL and take the number following the “=” sign, i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQa4SxB7U-I, where EQa4SxB7U-I is the number you need to put between {youtube} opening and closing curly brackets:
{youtube}EQa4SxB7U-I{/youtube}
To insert into your K2 videos from other providers, supported by the “Add Videos”, refer to the plug-ins developer web-site at joomlaworks.net.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

Thanks – I am well aware of all videos and how it works – the issue here is that the video is published in a pop up and only accessible via demo modal button – I would like the video published in the main content section

August 4, 2014 at 9:06 am #544404What i am asking is not very difficult – its a pretty simple question – the standard for k2 item pages is to have the video published in the main content area – I cannot understand why it has taken approx a week and I still do not have an answer.

August 4, 2014 at 9:45 am #544412Hi there,
Purely as a good will gesture of courtesy and as a favor for your custom with us but outside of the scope of our support, I’ve embedded one of the YouTube videos, in particular video clip with ID ZBvK6ni97W8, into your “The Judge” K2 item. You can find it at work at http://198.252.68.98/~ilovef2/index.php/movies/galas/item/275-the-judge.
As we don’t support 3-rd party Joomla extensions, please refer kindly all your questions concerning K2 component to its developers at joomlaworks.net.
Regards,
Alex

August 7, 2014 at 5:48 am #544981Thank you – I appreciate that – currently the default is for all videos to show up in lightbox – I would like the default to show up in the k2 item without manually adding it in – if you can provide details as to how to achieve that it would be appreciated
Thanks again

August 7, 2014 at 4:29 pm #545078Hi there,
To completely hide from your visitors the “Launch Demo Modal” knob:
1) Open your required K2 item
2) Click on the “Media” tab
3) Scroll down to see the “Check this box to delete current video or use the form above to replace the existing one” check box and uncheck it:
There you have it.
Regards,
Alex
