    I will be using both JAVoice and JAShowcase on my website. Is it possible for you to create a new JAVoice template more like that of JAShowcase? More importantly things like the loading image and placement. The differences make the website look pieced together.

    Or can you tell me how to quickly and easily do this?

    Also, would like to see if it would be possible to add the auto paginating function into JAVoice also in a next release? This is really cool.

    Thanks,
    James

    Dear hjames,

    About creating new Template for javoice:
    Javoice component development currently focuses more on the functionality and features. There is only one template use for javoice at the moment.

    – If you want to change loading image kindly open file :

    components/com_javoice/asset/css/ja.voice.css then find the code(default in line 718) and change it:

    #loader {
    background: #F4940C;
    color: white;
    display: none;
    font-weight: bold;
    left: 48%;
    -moz-border-radius: 3px;
    padding: 5px 0;
    position: fixed;
    text-align: center;
    top: 0 !important;
    -webkit-border-radius: 3px;
    width: 100px;
    z-index: 2000;
    }

    and placement: you can use override template function.

    The last request “auto paginating function” we have created issue via link:
    http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAVOICE-344 and will try releasing it in next version.

    Best Regards

    I made short work of changing the loading image and would like to share with everyone.

    I have attached the files so that it makes for easy updating if anyone wants to make this change to their site also. This is to make it load identical to that of JA-Showcase Component when Autopaging is enabled. 100x’s better than default JAVoice.

    The files which must be update are as follows:

    • ja.voice.css
    • default.php
    • en-GB.com_javoice.ini

    The following files need to be add:

    • trans-b.png
    • loading.gif

    To install, simply download the package. Extract to your desktop and upload the files which will overwrite your existing files.

    Please make sure you backup your original files before attempting this modification.

    Developers of JAVoice, please include this simple change in the next release. I will continue working to improve its graphical interface and upload as I can.

    Thanks,
    James
