    Hi…

From what i understand the ‘min-height’ of a featured article in the main content area is calculated on the fly according to the height of the right/left column. That is, if the height of the right column is increase by having a number of modules in it, the min height of the articles increases. At least that’s what I find.

This can lead to a lot of white space under a ‘short’ article, if there are many modules in the right/left column.

I was wondering whether there is a way have the min-height determined only by the amount of information in the article, rather than the height of the right column?

    Hope that makes sense.

Not easy and woud require a lot of work and clever thinking. You would need to dynamically hide modules depending on how much content is in the main area. Good idea but not an easy task to accomplish.

    Hi Phil

That’s a relief…I thought it was me! Will just have to juggle between the areas to meet my needs. However, its strange that such a feature would be built into the template.

    All the best

It is more of a feature not built into Joomla itself. There are few systems that dynamically decide which modules not to publish should the content have a space at the bottom. With a little carefull design you can still have a nice looking page as many website will attest to.
