How to change <block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” main-inner=”2″ specialwidth=”25″ special=”left”>user5,user6</block>

to display on right side of page.

Currently displays on left. I tried changing special=”left” to special=”right” but it didn’t affect postion of user5 or user6.

Right now its difficult to guess the issue and give solution to you. It would be awesome if you can possibly include a screenshot and description on that particular screenshot on what you would like to do. I shall help you solve it

Hi:

I attached a screen shot, I would like to move the two ads on the left side (user5 and user6 positions) to the right side.

just changing the left to right in the layout ( theme –> layout) did not work.

Try the following :

Open /families/templates/ja_puresite/etc/layouts/default.xml file

from
<blockquote><block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” main-inner=”2″ specialwidth=”33″ special=”left”>user5,user6</block></blockquote>
change
<blockquote><block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” main-inner=”2″ specialwidth=”67″ special=”left”>user6, user5</block></blockquote>

Remember to clear cache from Admin area after changing above code.

If possible you can pm admin access and ftp account of your site. I will help you move two ads on the left side to the right side.

About user7, user8. I’m afraid I’m not quite getting what you are mentioning above. You can possibly include a screenshot and description on that particular screenshot on what you would like to do. Otherwise, it’s like solving a puzzle without clue.

You were partially correct the change should have been

change <block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” main-inner=”2″ specialwidth=”33″ special=”left”>user5,user6</block>

to <block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” main-inner=”2″ specialwidth=”67″ special=”left”>user6,user5</block>

I needed to reverse the order of the user5, user6 to user6, user5 and change the specialwidth to 67

All of this is under template – layout – default
