I would like to have the template drop cap the first word not the letter .

Is this possible?

If not how can I disable the auto drop cap so I can manually add it.

where your span tag is for the articles,
<span class=dropcap>F</span>or
to make the f the drop cap, just close the span tag after the end of the word, rather than the first letter.

Thank you for the reply.

I understand that but the template automatically drops the first letter, so I get a space inbetween the auto generated drop cap and the manual drop cap I have used that code for.
