August 18, 2008 at 4:18 am #265736Basically, this is quite easy.
First of all, create your new logo and save it called ‘logo.gif’.
Upload this into your /images/ folder to replace the original logo with the same name.
If your new logo is a different size to the original Teline II logo, then you will need to edit the template.css file.
Find the following code in the template.css file and change the width, height and top pixel sizes until you get the desired result:
ho.logo a {
width: 278 px;
display: block;
background: url(../images/logo.gif) no repeat;
position: absolute;
height: 42px;
top: 20px;
left: 0;If you’re not happy editing code, simply make your new logo the same size as the old one!
Hope that helps.

October 12, 2008 at 7:14 am #274839Can you open an FTP session, copy the file to your local drive, make the edits and then replace the one on the server using FTP?
Don’t forget to make a backup!!

October 14, 2008 at 12:07 am #275120I have exactly the same problem as the previous member – I cannot change any of the permissions on the template – using ftp or server control panel – I can’t up a new logo to change it! – I’m pulling my hair out
Template I’m using is ja_Kulanite 1.2 – http://www.spareparts.ie/home (under Constr.) and Joomla 1.5.7
