Then redesign Teline more like a CNN portal (http://www.cnn.com). Give us Teline typography, richer slideshows, photo gallery, video and community/forum capability. And if you really want to blow my socks off you can throw in a matching phpBB3 skin.
The news portal concept rocks and can be used by virtually everybody from schools to nightclubs to major news organizations. It’s what Joomla is all about.

I don’t see any promises for better support? I find that that has been lacking quite. Now THERE would be a great reason for switching, but unfortunately it isn’t a reason in your list. This is so important too! Why not that?

More time and efforts will be spent on support in forum and via our ticket system. Joomla 1.5 is more a framework than a standard CMS system, which means that you are going to install more extensions (out of 2598 available)

Hi Khanh,
Thanks for responding. Oops, didn’t read that – and I did read the post of course. Well, great then!
If JA are able to:
a. assist in transferring Genista to 1.5 including all adjustments I have made for the template.
b. get me the random for ja_slideshow in genista, as it seemed to have and I need it :D:D:pThen I might be inclined to accept the one a month. For quality reasons.

Also, of course, all the templates up to now will need to be updated to work–trouble-free–with version 1.5. This probably goes without saying; just making sure we don’t lose sight of this. 😀

You know what? I agree. I bet they could do better.
Time to bring the lovely Teline template up to date and “Joomlartize” the community/news portal concept guys!
Do it THIS month please!!!

January 4, 2008 at 3:27 pm #235729Do you have to copy each other all the time?
First Templateplazza now you too
And what this talk about 1.5. This Version is not Stable yet.
Well, I don’t want to be one to have negative comments all the time, so I would like to congratulate to you for Ja Purity and good luck with it.
January 4, 2008 at 4:14 pm #235735I think it’s a good idea… Although, I joined with the promise of two monthly templates.
But I want the same style joomlart:- Very clean and simple, not heavy graphics!
- Variety of menus
- Corporate and bussines orientation
- The same work and fine art … Details, you know…
I hope also, more support in the forums … I have two questions, and nobody answered!
Cheers!

The only older template I want to see reused is Teline. in fact, I wish this month’s template would be a new variant of the Teline template. Kind of a Teline II, like Rockettheme did with their Versatility template.
PLEASE issue a Teline II template for the mid-January release.
Thanks.</blockquote>
I agree with TeeTide completely. I prefer quality over quantity but the fact is that I paid for two quality templates per month so I fully expect the terms of the agreement to be carried out. Change to 1 per month but double my remaining subscription and no additional cost.Support needs to be seriously amped up too!
January 4, 2008 at 6:09 pm #235741This is the ad currently on your site: http://www.joomlart.com/images/stories/template-44.jpg
12 Months 24 templates
JA is going to have one of three choices, either honor the 24 templates per year, double the time of your membership, or refund half the money paid.
I don’t think it is right to run a special all during the holidays and then spring a change of terms on people.

January 4, 2008 at 6:22 pm #235742When that ad was running (12 Months 24 templates) was what you got…Things change..the word gaurenteed was not there.
JoomlArt is trying to make things better for everyone.
I don’t want half my money back.
January 4, 2008 at 6:32 pm #235743For one, that ad is STILL there!
Read the terms…..tell me where it says subject to change.
Lets ask a lawyer what he thinks…..might be fun

My dear friend,
Things change, but this is promised through advertising. You obviously don’t know advertising rules or the law.
I think that with the current thread going on, it is extremely misleading to keep that ad up, please remove it JA. You are promising something that you know might not be true.

January 4, 2008 at 6:43 pm #235747You are correct I don’t know the Law, which is why I wouldn’t try to use it, to spoil what is obviously going to be better for everyone.
I hope JoomlArt know the law better than me and have themselves covered.

LOL Oh well, that will be fine I expect. I just think the ad needs to go.
I am sure things will work out for everyone in the end. It’s not like the end of the world. At least not for me.
Personally, I would have sent every member an email explaining what’s going on, instead of having to find out here by accident there is a thread going on about this. That might still be a great idea actually, JA?Regards,
