I see the voting go for the change at the moment</blockquote>hahaha … 20 votes out of … what … 12thousand and something members?:laugh::laugh:
If the vote was “I don’t mind this change” but what does “I want this change NOW” mean?
Why should anybody immediately want to cut the purchased service by half???

January 9, 2008 at 3:12 am #236075I joined for 2 templates per month not 1.
If you cant deliver then hire more staff you have enough paying members to do this…
I am happy with the quality of the templates as is, so I don’t see how they will suddenly get so much better if you only produce one.
I would expect a membership extension or refund if you changed. Then I would not renew….

The only older template I want to see reused is Teline. in fact, I wish this month’s template would be a new variant of the Teline template. Kind of a Teline II, like Rockettheme did with their Versatility template.
PLEASE issue a Teline II template for the mid-January release.
Thanks.</blockquote>
Completely agree. I’m sure many (as well as myself) will be upset and asking for a 50% refund otherwise… I do think that if Joomlart feels they could deliver better templates at 1/month then that is your prerogative. I am quite surprised that the majority of people (so far) feel that 1/month would be better though. 2/month is a big part of what makes Joomlart so great.Michael Casha FriendMichael Casha

January 9, 2008 at 3:28 pm #236113What does “I’m not fussed” mean? I have never heard of this term. With the addition of two more poll questions you should restart it.

January 9, 2008 at 6:36 pm #236120I,m not fussed = not bothered either way. 😉
January 9, 2008 at 8:31 pm #236125If you want this poll to be representative you should email all members of the existence of this poll. You do not really think the majority of the users are checking the board announcements regularly, do you?
A serious poll should have serious questions. “I want this change NOW” hints that it is just a question of the timeframe. This kind of poll is ridiculous if you ask me and I am pretty sure that your decision is already made, you are just thinking of how to put it nicely …
Have you forgotten … 2 templates a month was the reason for a price increase (almost double price) about one year ago.

January 10, 2008 at 3:33 am #236149People always hate to vote for polls on public forums. See Joomla! 1.5 Template Contest Poll on Joomla! Forum, over 150,000 members and only over 5,000 topic views, then finally only 500 votes. So IMO if JoomlArt get over 100 votes, it may be making a decision.

January 10, 2008 at 12:55 pm #236171I think that E-mails MUST BE sent before a decision! Then anyone who wants say somthing have a option for that and build verdict, common opinion.

I agree… I voted before the change the poll.
I think everything is frivolous.
Cheers!

January 11, 2008 at 5:09 am #236208Alright, seeing as those 2 extra additions gained no responses, I have removed them from the poll.
We are currently setting up the newsletter system, and no decision will be made until we give ample opportunity for those to respond.
January 11, 2008 at 8:11 am #236216Personally, I subscribed at JoomlArt because of the 2 templates/month, it’s simply a wider choice option for my customers.
TemplatePlazza did the same change, but at least they introduced a compensation for active members, extending their expiration date based on the rest of membership time, multiplying it two times. For example, If a member had one month left he received one extra month.
This could be a decent proposal.
With any lesser option I would simply be very disappointed. -
