As stated far earlier in this thread. You cannot make this change with such a ridiculously low number of votes….50 out of 14000 members is unacceptable to make a change!
Support and responses from dev team continue to be non-existent

January 17, 2008 at 5:32 pm #236602Dear JA,
I would like to know if ja avian II is still the first template of this month and the second is on it’s way, as it should be?
Thank you.

Hey Menalto, good to find you here. 🙂
Directed at Joomlart:
I am not very happy with the 2nd template of this month, because there is NONE. These changes do NOT form a new template.
What happens here is a making rediculous of this thread, the people who have posted here and all the members that have subscribed , expecting TWO TEMPLATES a month, not an addition of just some changes in color or style.
Normally, I would not have reacted like this, but under the current circustances, this is not acceptable. With this 2nd “template” you have really shown to have moved to one template anyway, right under our nose.
Therefore, I am looking forward to your reason to changing to one template a month anyway?
Thank you.

It’s funny that now you want us to agree to new forum rules, that means censorship about negative comments.

MediaWorks: The reason why the rules were brought in were so that we can have a better organisation when something does go wrong. We do not censor any comments about JoomlArt or our services, unless they involve bad language or something like that. I am more than willing to let negative comments be shown on the forums, and I have instructed all the moderators to not remove them.

There are a heap more styles as requested by our customers. Some people like it, some people don’t.bigrk Friendbigrk

January 17, 2008 at 11:42 pm #236628Personally I like what JA did in releasing this 2nd version of the Avian template. The first version was nice but now there are a total of 9 different ways to present your photography or art. I appreciate getting this 2nd version without having to wait for it sometime in the future. Now I would like to see a 2nd version of the Teline template.

Well, that’s fine, but I am not interested in that. The templates, all of the modifications, are very nice, that is not the point Miccas. You can add them like Rockettheme does always every month. I am interested in different templates, as promised, not only different artwork. Especially now, while this thread is going on.
Please don’t try to sell this as a second template. There is no second template, this is a modification. Like the Christmas template, fox example. If a modification was a template, why didn’t you count the Christmas modification as a template?
What I see is that you already have decided to go back to one template a month. And that you try to cover that up by coming up with a modification every second of the month. That is not as promised.
My advice: Just make the decision to go back to one a month and extend the subscriptions. Lets just get it over with.
Cheers,

January 18, 2008 at 4:06 am #236643Hi Tom,
We decided to release Avian II because there’re a lot of members demanding it. Releasing Avian II is not a sign to show that we will switch to 1 template a month. We will continue to listen to this thread to make any further decision.

Adding onto what Hieu said, no decision will be made until we have setup our e-mail system correctly and made sure an appropriate amount of time is given for our users to respondJanuary 18, 2008 at 10:31 am #236657@Hung Dinh 35861 wrote:

B. What you can expect to receive- More time and efforts will be spent on support in forum and via our ticket system. Joomla 1.5 is more a framework than a standard CMS system, which means that you are going to install more extensions (out of 2598 available)

I think it is absolutely necessary for your team to spend more time in support … the current time for customers till they get an answer is not satisfactory.
Best regards.

Interesting logic. Numerous members have also demanded a Teline II. In fact, they were asking for it long before the original Avian template was even released. Why Avian II over Teline II?

January 18, 2008 at 9:40 pm #236693Well to be quite honest I am not a fan of the changes and I would be lying if I said it will not play a large part in my decision to renew my account. I will not be happy if these “changes” happen while I am still a member. I did not pay for a single template release per month, I paid for two. I think people that paid for two should be compensated in some manner. Weather it’s a discount on an upgrade package, a renewal discount, something should be offered. I already feel jilted that Avian II is being counted as a “new” template.
I must also take into consideration in my decision process that the style of template I prefer to use (shopping style) chances of this being produced will now be cut in half. I originally intended to upgrade to a higher domain package but with a 50% cut in template production and your current price point I must ask myself is it really worth it, or will another company provide a better solution for my hard earned dollar.
