January 24, 2013 at 12:49 am #184319Hi:
I’d like to change the template for user pages in our site http://www.thecult.es
Currently, all the author pages (e.g: http://www.thecult.es/blog/Guzman-Urrero.html) displays as per ja_wall template. I would like them to display as ja_wall_blog. I’ve not been able to find a place to change this configuration.
Our site is using K2 and sh404SEF.
I suppose author pages displays using the default template configuration, but I don’t know either where this default configuration comes from.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance:
Javier

January 24, 2013 at 10:46 am #481022Hello Javier,
I see that this page http://www.thecult.es/blog/Guzman-Urrero.html displayed as a blog already. So what is the problem here? Could you explain more details.
Regards.

January 24, 2013 at 8:23 pm #481061Hi Stork11.
Actually I didn’t mean it was not a blog. My question says that it displays as ja_wall instead of ja_wall_blog. To give you a graphical explanation, the example who shows how ja_wall_blog is displayed (at least in our site) is this one: http://www.thecult.es/redaccion.html
I hope you’ll be seeing the difference. If not, we might be dealing with a very different problem.

Javier

January 27, 2013 at 1:16 pm #481236In the mean time, I’ve found that this problem was (another) sh404SEF trick. The existing author pages were inheriting the characteristics of a category or menu item which was using ja_wall either as the specified template or as the default one. The stored sh404SEF redirection overrided the configuration I was setting up. I had defined a menu item and I associated it to a ja_wall_blog template.
Yesterday we included a new author in our magazine and since he was new to sh404SEF his new page started using the ja_wall_blog template as configured. I’ve corrected some of the sh404SEF URLs from other authors and all of them show now in a ja_wall_blog template.
I have now a different problem because the desired appearance of the author pages is not the same as I expected, but this is not related to this question and I think I will be able to handle it when I find time to do it.
Regards:
Javier
