Hi I have been trying to add and change a block for a mobile device (iPhone). I do not want the “About” content in “content-main? block and I would also like to add user blocks 1,2,3 and 4 to the blocks that are currently being used. Can you please provide me with some suggestions as everything I have tried so far has not worked. The template I am trying this on is JA-Ores.

    Thanks

@gary1234: On JA Ores template, you can add the block with its positions to the iPhone layout. In this case, I would like to suggest you to refer these 2 steps below:

    – Refer our T3v2 documentation to know how to modify our responsive layout (Mobile Ready Layouts).

    – Extract my attached file to templatesja_oresetclayouts folder and you can add your new block codes to iPhone.xml file.

    – Remember to configure the layout in Layout settings of each template profiles (Desktop, Handheld, iPhone) and clear JAT3 cache after updating changes.

Thanks I have figured this out. I am also having another problem the “content-mass-bottom” position is greyed out when I check the positions. I am not sure why this is happening. I did submit a ticket but I did not understand the answer. Here is what he stated.

Regarding problems with the “content-mass-bottom” position, it is due to this code: “<block name=”content-mass-bottom” >content-mass-bottom</block>” in file templatesja_oresetclayoutsdefault.xml. This causes the “content-mass-bottom”position to be greyed out when you check the positions.

Can you explain what he is getting at?
    Thanks

    Hi Gary,

Our team has replied to your ticket. Anyway, I add explanation here for reference:

<blockquote>Can you explain what he is getting at?</blockquote>

The code “<block name=”content-mass-bottom” >content-mass-bottom</block>” (in file templatesja_oresetclayoutsdefault.xml) helps to define position “content-mass-bottom”. In case no module is assigned to this position, your frontend will show nothing related to this position. However, when viewing module positions (?tp=1), then a placeholder for this module will be shown.
