I am installing JAComments on a site using Joomla 1.6.3 All works fine until you click ‘Add Comment’. It takes an excessive time to load the comment box and the page layout changes. I am floating some divs to the right and have the article text wrapping around it on the left. Instead of wrapping, the text jumps down below the divs floating on the right. I have been trying to find where it might be changing this in the code and haven’t found it yet. Was hoping you could lead me in the right direction.

Is the problem caused by “clear both” in the wrapper? If so, what can I do to correct it without messing up how the comments display?

Also, why is it taking so long to load the comment box? Do I need to configure the Admin tool differently?

I MISTAKENLY ADDED THIS PROBLEM TO THE EXTENSIONS FORUM LAST NIGHT SO AM OPENING IT HERE INSTEAD . . . SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION!

I find load times are precariously slow to. JACompress didn’t seem to do anything to help. I too would appreciate some advice on this topic.

    Hello,

I accessed your site and saw that the loading time is normal. Maybe your internet connection caused the problem.

About the layout, could you describe more details? An attached screenshot is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hello, I have the same issue with the lay-out.. the content page doesn’t align with the right column. it appears now at the bottom of the right column.

all others installations went just fine…

Can you please advise on the lay-out? (I already adjusted the css, position align left, width: 590px; etc..)

I couldn’t wait any longer for support to answer this problem, so I ended up fixing the problem myself last Thursday.

My problem with slow load times resolved itself . . . was probably network related in my case. Hope yours gets resolved soon!
