How do I change the background color in the JA-News Module in the Opal template?
I’ve looked in both the template.css & blue.css and can seem to find what setting to change or a background image that I have to modify.
Thanks in advance for your help.

August 30, 2009 at 1:27 am #315694Ok, go to: joomlatemplatesja_opalcsscolors
CHOOSE YOUR PREFFERED CSS STYLE ( this is the code for athletics.css ) AND:
Line 321-326:
/*ja news*/
#ja-news div.moduletable div.ja-box-ct {
background: #FAF9F5; (this is the color you want to change )
border: 1px solid #CCCCCC;
border-top: none;
}Attention: you must change all css files there if you want to have style switching enabled, or just this one which will be your default style if you don’t want to have style switching enabled. And, every style has different order of lines, so just search for
/*ja news*/ title and there you change background color.Thank you,

August 30, 2009 at 2:05 am #315698And one other thing:
You must go to the folder :
joomlatemplatesja_opalimages
And change there in the main folder or one of the subfolders ( it depends on the style you choose ):
( athletics, black, blue, red, yellow ) this image:arrow-r.gif
to have the area around the arrow same like the color of the background you choose. In that way you will have smooth design of the news.

Wow. Thank you! That would be great. I think I’m going to change the background of all of the boxes on the blue version from light blue to white, so anything you have would be great. I’m hoping that not too many of them like the arrow have to be modified, but I’ll take any help I can get…:-)You can send what ever you have to me at: victorynewhampshire@victorynh.com
Really appreciate the help.

August 30, 2009 at 12:58 pm #315726I sent you zip file where I added few custom arrows, now you have 9 color options for your white background. If you want anything else, just ask.
Thanks,
Dreambuilds.
