hello,

I like the template alot but I find it sad there isn’t a good manual which tells you how to edit some colors of the template. People like the template but want to change it so it doesn’t look like the demo most of the time. Else alot of people have the same design. Oh well just my 2 cents…

I studied the template.css and figured out how to change a few colors here and there. I am still struggling with a few problems:

1) changing the main body white color, also the body of the news items like phone, media 2.0.
2) changing the white vm productslide background to other color
3) changing the main font color from black to white.
4) changing the blue font color in the news items ex. phone: Apple sued..

For question 1 I thought changing the color in line 20 of the template.css should work but it doesnt? Or perhals line 33 but that didnt change it too.

I really need some help with this please. Anyone?

I haven’t worked with that template but by looking at the demo some of the “colors” you mentioned are actually images.

I have a hard copy of CSS “The Missing Manual” and it has helped a great deal in learning CSS. They have a copy of it online if you click here.

I figured out how to change the main background from being white. It was indeed influenced by an image: mainwrap-bg.gif.

most could be changed in the template.css or templates/system/css editor.css and the ja_news.css in the larix template (not the modules folder!).
