I have a question…

I have a site that uses a template from Gavick. I want to change it to a JA template.

Is it possible to just install the JA template and select it in the backend, and then configure as necessary, or do I need to start from scratch?

It would be nice if I don’t have to transfer all my content and images over…what a pain.

Yes you can just install the template from the backend (template installer) and then install the modules for the template and configure them. Works perfect only takes a bit longer compared to quickstart.

but…. starting from scratch will take a lot longer 🙂

You might need to adjust the position names of some modules. For instance, on JA the bottom modules are named differently than with Gavick etc. You will also have to edit module suffixes as needed and possibly some menu suffixes such as Frontpage.

Other than that, it is easy.
