YES! I just saw it and will try it. I think the problem might have been that I did not turn off Legacy before. I will try again now!

Yes! This worked. I am sure that the problem was that I neglected to turn off Legacy and did not delete the components.
    Thank you!
Now my questions remain about how the T3 Framework and Teline iii v2 work compared to Tiii v1.
Most particularly, in order to have different Logos for different sections, would I follow the same procedures as I did with the old teline iii?

And what about the extension JCE Editor? Is it good for Tiii v2?

    What other extensions are useful?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.

check out the attached image at the end of this post

I am using Teline iii v1 at present and I am planning on moving to teline iii v2 once its template for Joomla! 1.6 is available.

This is what I would have done and plan to do :

    1- Backup your site entirely

2- Go to Joomla Extensions Directory and download this extension: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/migration-a-conversion/joomla-migration/4054

(You would need to activate the legacy plugin for it to work. After you finish with this component, you can disable the legacy again as it would not affect its fonctionality.)

3- Go to your current site and make PrintScreen all your modules and plugins and also extensions, so you know what you have installed in your current version.

4- Enable the legacy mode and Install the above extension (Export Content). Once installed sucessfully, then go to Components > Export Content > then choose how you would like to export; by Sections or by Content items. (Exporting the sections would give you all the Sections + Categories + Articles, whereas exporting jus the static content items would only give you those items. I would export by Sections). Once you have clicked on your choice, then select the items you would like to export. If you have selected the Sections, you would only chose the few sections you have to export.

5 – Follow the image I have attached here for you to see what to expect. I have numbered the step to follow, so just follow each step accordingly.

Once you have reached step 8, then make your choice on how you would like to insert the imported content. Then select what to insert and click on INSERT (near the top right hand side).

All your (Sections, Categs and Articles if you have selected to compile by section) content should be there.

Now go to your menu manager adn do the rest.

Once you have finished all that, just uninstall the Export Content and Imported Content components as usual and do not forget to disable the legacy mode if you do not need it enabled.

Finally, if you use this method, please send your feedback.

I hope it works for you.

    Hi,

I am using JCE on all my websites. It’s a great extension. I has never disappointed me. I had tried others before, but JCE is the best for me.

As for the logo for each section, I would suggest you run a quick search on the forum. I remember seeing that being discussed somewhere. If you can’t find any success, you can hit back or contact JA Support directly. That may be quicker as we are going through the end of the year.

    Good luck.

I know… I asked the same questions last year! It should be on the forums but I am having trouble finding it!.
Thanks again for the tip. BTW, do you use eXTplorer? It is a really good way to modify files within the administrator
section. I wonder about its security though, although they say they have fixed it.

An update: I got my logo to show up, but the Teline Logo is still there underneath it. ??? is that weird?
