What have I missed?

how could i suggest you without looking it at. please post it to the development server. so i can look into and provide you a solution.

may be you can find in template manager default template for the site.

Hello
If you have set logo type as Text in template manager and want to change the the default logo ,
then change it from
go to
templatesja_sugiteimageslogo.png
replace the logo file with your logo.png .

OR
IF you are changing the logo from template options ,
Then make sure Logo Type is >>>>>Image >>>http://prntscr.com/484tg7
+ There are different template styles present in the quickstart of JA Sugite that are assigned to different pages ,
So you need to add logo for each template style (JA Sugite default, JA Sugite deature intro etc……) . >>>http://prntscr.com/484t4l

ps: Above suggestions are based on JA Sugite quickstart package .

If it does not help you , make the site live , so that we can take a look on it

I tried your options on my local server and the whole site broke – so I have started again on a development server:
http://inhousegraphicdesign.co.uk/

I have tried changing the logo as per instructions (number one) and still no joy – if I assign to home page as per screen shot on instructions the new logo appears and spins but the template breaks and displays a black header.

I will PM log ins

I have changed the logo already! See screen shot. The logo is on the server, but I will attach again.

BUT as I explained – it does not display on the home page. It does display on the black headers within the site – see screeners attached.

Hello in the 2nd screenshot , i can see the logo is working fine .
for issue related to black header >>
black is the default color of the header you can check the same in our demo .
transparent header is only for the homepage slideshow , because if its black it will comes over the images .
on other pages if its transparent then i will not visible on white area or images .

but if you want full transparent header main nav . let me know i will give you solution for this 🙂

Now as you mentioned the logo is not changed on the hompage
reason>> Homepage uses JA Sugite feature intro template style , and you changed the logo only for the ja default template .
this is the issue logo is not changed for homepage .

please go to template manager >>ja sugite feature intro >> and change the logo same like you changed for the ja sugite default template . it will solve your problem 🙂
