I was wondering if it’s possible to change the main content section on the front page (where the articles are usually listed) from articles to just a big photo or open .html space. I don’t want to have any titles or authors or dates to appear there. Just one big blank space I can stick whatever I want.

    any help is appreciated.

Well, I’m the kind of answer guy you get when you say “any help.” You should have specified “expert help” only. 😀

Anyway, you can specify whether you want any authors or titles to appear in your site configuration – turn it off or on. In your administrator, go to SITE – then – GLOBAL CONFIGURATION – then select the CONTENT tab. From there you can select whether you want the author names and titles to appear, as well as a host of other things.

As for the main page showing a big picture. What template are you using? That is important to know.

In the meanwhile, you can disable the frontpage items from showing by going to MENU MANAGER – then click on the icon under the MENU ITEMS for the MAIN MENU – then – Home (or whichever name you have given for the item that is linked to the frontpage component) and in the parameters section (on the far right side of the page) change #leading to 0 (zero) and #intro to 0. That will turn off the articles.

I’m thinking you could chose to have 1 article that contained your picture and no author name or title, etc. That’s just a thought though.
