I watched your film clip “Joomla Template Tutorials – Module positions and class suffixes”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXUVP-LwCXA

But my backend does not appear like yours in the clip (see Screenshot).
So I cannot find the default.xml
    With FTP I only find a default.php in /templates/ja_mesolite_ii/layouts

What I wanna do you can see in my picture.
I d like to create a new module position left-hand-side from the logo.
And I d like to put there in the language module (which is now in “user4”-position).

    Anyone who can help me?
    ThanXXX in advance!!

    Dear vschad,

You can directly open the file of ja_mesolite_iilayoutsdefault.php and add your new position there, also I think you would need add a lot of css codes to get your new possition appear at the position you wanted.

hi dathq, thanks for your respond.

I donĀ“t understand what you wanna express by saying I would need to add a lot of css etc…

Could i get more info about what to do and why my backend looks so different from the backend in your video, please?

    Dear vschad,

Your template is the ja_mesolite_ii,it is a template was built base on the T3 Framework, not the T3V2 While the template on the video is regarding the T3V2 Framework.

you can add your new module position in the file of ja_mesolite_iilayoutsdefault.php
