December 12, 2015 at 7:13 am #807595Hi,
I am using latest Joomla and template JA Bizz
I would like to achieve the following in the footer section:
Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 06.57.45.png shows 4 x footer positions and footer-subscribe position. What I would like to do is remove the footer-subscribe block, free up that space and add footer 5 & 6 as in the next image, using the free space left behind by removing footer-subscribe
Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 06.58.30.png shows the additional footer positions
Screenshot Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 06.58.13.png shows the new footer positions but they don’t appear in the drop down list, how do I get them to appear here
Also, where does this changes get made so if / when there is an template update, and I install it it does not over-write what I already have.
Any help much appreciated
Eddie

December 12, 2015 at 8:04 am #807868Hello,
That is excellent. Will these changes be save when a template update is release and I install it or should I save the footer.php file away
Eddie 🙂

December 12, 2015 at 4:20 pm #808857Hi
Positions footer-5 and footer-6 should be assigned choosing by positions selector drop down , anyway they are already assigned by default to your footer , maybe you need to clean your browser cache because i cannot see a layout like the image you showed above.
Your footer.php file now is
<div class="col-lg-9 col-md-9 col-sm-12 col-xs-12 footer-links"> <?php if ($this->checkSpotlight('footnav', 'footer-1, footer-2, footer-3, footer-4, footer-5, footer-6')) : ?> <?php $this->spotlight('footnav', 'footer-1, footer-2, footer-3, footer-4, footer-5, footer-6') ?> <?php endif ?> </div>
