Hi is it possible to choose the content of the topmenu. as it is on me page right now its the content in the mainmenu there is reflected to the topmenu.?

Sure.

Go to EXTENSIONS > MODULE MANAGER and disable the MAIN MENU module. This will take out the duplicate menu.

Then find the menu you want to display there (i.e. user menu, other menu, a menu you create from scratch) and enable it in that position.
