My menu in Chrome and Internet Explorer jumps down a line, while in Firefox the menu stays all on one line. Can someone assist with this?

It is inevitable that there will be situations where you need a CSS rule to target a specific browser.

I think Beez5 template has a built-in script for browser specific css. So have a look at how it’s done and copy the script and code to your site.

There are several resources throughout the web that focus on the issue of CSS browser hacks . . .
BROWSERHACKS.COM, ironically, being one of them.

Here is another —> CONDITIONAL STYLESHEETS vs CSS HACKS
