Currently, JAT3v3 version does not support clean cache button in JA Template, that’s the reason, we do not show Clear Cache button on your JA Template. But you can use clear cache of JOOMLA default.

You may also want to take a look at Cache Cleaner from NoNumber, I prefer to use this over Joomla version.

Could you explain your reasoning behind that? All we are doing here is deleting a few files.

    Hi Phil,

    Sure I can.
Kenny was asking about the missing T3 cache clear button and that it was suggested to use the Joomla cache instead.
I thought I suggest the Cache Clear as it gets docked at the top of the admin site in easy reach, instead of having to goto Admin -> Site ->Maintenance > Clear Cache -> select All and click Delete Button.
    One click and job done.

    Just a suggestion.

Thanks for explaining that k2joom. If it is a shortcut then that is great. Anything to make regular maintenence work easier. Having said that I am guessing it would only really be used during development (how often do you clear your cache on a live site?) and so it is an extra code overhead. We also have a development mode in T3V3 which disabled the cache during development so maybe depending on your needs that clear cache extension may be less useful.

And just for a little clarification of what Ninja Lead stated above, T3V1/2 used a dedicated cache which because it was separate did cause a few problems but because of the way J1.5 worked it was an evil that we had to put up with. With J2.5.x we can use the built in Joomla tools to integrate in a far better way so the old clear jat3 cache button is no longer required.

Agreed, cache clearing is not normally done on a running site and ideally a dev tool.
Yes, the clarification about the T3 cache was worth mentioning for others to understand.

Certainly having a quick click and clean button is a simple, but effective time saver 😉

Thanks guys for the clarification , at least I know the reason why it was disabled in T3V3 . Cheers
