Hi all,
I’m pretty new to Joomla so I don’t now, if t’s possible what I try to do. I’d like to use a module with CTA button as "entry page". When clicking the CTA button the complete article should be displayed.
The article itself exists (see screenshot) and the link location of the CTA button should be correct as well from my point of view. But when clicking this button this article isn’t being displayed. Instead the same page opens in a new browser tab.
So, can any body please tell me, what I’m doing wrong ?
Many thanks in advance!

August 15, 2016 at 7:44 am #960113Hi Pavit,
it’s not a specific template. I tried it with Purity III as well as with JA Simpli. Same result in both.
So I guess it’s a generic issue. And since I am doing my tests on a local virtual machine I cannot provide any access from external, sorry.Unfortunately I couldn’t find any documentation showing some link URL example (in every howto I found the example link target was ‘#’, but no internal link). I already figured out that it is possible to configure the target URL as "external", e.g. http://domain/339-test-article instead, wich is working fine. But I’d rather configure it as an internal link.
Any ideas or tipps where I can find some config examples?
Regards,

August 15, 2016 at 3:10 pm #960171Hi
You added in the button link field a wrong url , it should contain also the category id , something like
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=118:hawkstore&catid=83&Itemid=520
To obtain the correct url publish a new menu item as single article type then assign to it your article and copy the resulting url into your cta module.

One last thing: Is there any option to define to open this article in the same window instead of a new one (some "target=" parameter)?

I tested the CTA style-1 ja acm module on an uber template and it opens article in the same page, i cannot replicate your module behaviour.
