When I click on any item on the home page, I am not redirected to the article on which I clicked. I return automatically to the home page without displaying the full article.

Can you help me to solve this problem

Please check in your template manager the profile tab if you have the Hide main content switched to Yes

The Hide main content is switched to “NO” on my template manager.

After installing the quickstart template, the links on the home page works well. Subsequently I did was change the names of classes of my articles and hidden some joomla modules. I have not touched the setup of the template. Out now all the links on the home page do not work and does not return to the article. As against the URL of the article in the browser address bar displays correctly after clicking on an item. All the mainmenu links work well on the homepage or on the others pages inside the website. My problem is only the articles who are on the homepage.

Sorry but you have some problems on your site

    1) Check your warnings extension manager warnings Tab you must set your tmp and logs dir as writable

    2) there are some sql errors on category manager and article manager

I don’t know what happened before but i can suggest to reinstall again all using the quickstart package, the process can be done quickly if you make an export of your content table after done that you can make an import of your tables in the DB

    problem solved:

When I click on any item on the home page, I am not redirected to the article on which I clicked. I return automatically to the home page without displaying the full article.

    solved the problem as follows:

    add new category in main menu: eg: replace joomlart;
module manager: menu asigment Sl1-1 tick in new category created
featured articles: edit article: select category created

    enjoy!

    Hi 020166,

Can you explain exactly what you have do to resolve this problem. I haven’t undestand the 2 last lines of your thread.

module manager: menu asigment Sl1-1 tick in new category created
featured articles: edit article: select category created

I understand I’ll go to tha mainmenu manager and after i create a new item on the main menu. after this i’ll go (on this new item mainmenu) on the tab “Module assignement for this menu item” and i click on the line sl1-1. after this, i select the box on the “menu assignement” the new item I have create before and save all.

Is it correct ? if yes, what will I do after.

    Hi Pavit and 020166,

I have found the solution too after many hours to understand the functions.

1/ Create an article and assign it to a categorie like “Test”
2/ On the Ja News Pro module select the categorie “Test” and assign the module to the homepage for example
3/ Create a new item on the mainmenu manager with category blog and select on the right the category “Test”
4/ Now on the homepage when you clicked on the Janews pro module article test you are redirected to a new page (the new item you have created)
