November 22, 2009 at 12:02 am #146257If an employer wants to “Update profile” at the bottom of the profile page, they are led to a blank page.
This occurs on the FRONT END. The profile is editable from the ADMINISTRATOR area.Anonymous ModeratorJA Developer

November 24, 2009 at 12:57 pm #324796Wen i login as an employer and i click on the link edit profile it takes me to a blank page, could you please update as to what the issue is.
There are no sef rules being applied to the site at all so all urls are Joomla based. this is the link it gives me
index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=japrofiles&layout=jaform&cid[]=66&alias=tom

November 24, 2009 at 3:07 pm #324805This is happening to me as well.
I’ve put a Bug Report in about it and know that they have opened the issue and are actively looking into it.So hopefully resolution will come soon.

November 25, 2009 at 10:34 pm #325009Thanks for the update i am hoping to put this into a working enviroment on Friday, so i hope they get this sorted out, seems a very buggy program at the moment, and i think they need to work on it instead of bringing new stuff.

November 27, 2009 at 4:34 am #325098Hi Coldclimber,
I am sorry that as the upgrading involves many control and model files that are not easy to list out all as per your request.
Thus, the best solution is you back up your Jobboard folder and then download latest version for reinstallation. If you want to retain some previous files, kindly copy from backup folder and overwrite on those of new version.
If any bugs/issues might occur, kindly keep us informed with your credentials via PM/ticket system for further tracking and assistance.

November 27, 2009 at 7:53 am #325113Hi
You cannot expect everyone to reinstall this component every time you make a mistake with the programming it is your job as the supplier of the product to ensure that the product works, faulty products should be either returned or a suitable fix should be supplied.
You can not just expect us all to over right all the customization work we have done for our clients.
So i ask again what is the code required in order to fix this.
I knew i should have chosen another solution for the jobs board. This program is far to buggy and full of holes, to use fully.

November 28, 2009 at 6:34 am #325176We have created a task ticket for your request which will be resolved on coming Monday because office closed on Weekend.
We are developing an updater system which will help the update process to be done right from your administrator panel. The solutions will be used not only for JA JobBoard but also for all other JA products including templates. Once this tool is applied, the upgrade process will be much easier.
For your information, as the way Joomla works, all other Joomla components must be updated by uninstall & reinstall.
Also, about other alternatives, I do not think you can find any other better Job Board solution for Joomla. As you can see with such a big component, bug are somethings can be avoided, as you can see, we are updating actively on the product so clear all of the bugs reported.
