On my main page I put a JA Side News module in position-1 and set K2 as content source in the module properties. Next, in “Display Articles” option I selected “From Categories” and used K2 category which has multiple K2 items assigned to it. The problem is that after clicking this JA Side News module placed on the main page I’m forwarded to a single K2 item from a given K2 category instead to a list of all K2 items available from this category as it happens when I click any K2 category from the main menu. link to site:

    Hi,

JA Side News module helps you to displays a list of article (item) from selected categories in backend. Currently, you are setting it to display only 1 item: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/763/5640304642.png and when you click on this item, it should direct to details page of this item, it cannot view as when you click on category link. I think it works in proper way.

thanks for answering but this number “1” ( http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/763/5640304642.png ) defines the amount of items shown on the main page, however, i want to show only first item from category on main page and the rest shoul be visible only after clicking this main page module – remaining items should be presented as a list like here http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_mero/k2/all-categories/metro-ui-ux.html (assuming category with multiple items is assigned at the back-end), additionally I’ve noticed that htm tags are stripped from JA Side News modules if they appear on main page?

i’ve found some workaround to suit my purpose i.e. creating custom html modules with links to k2 category on main page – but how do i adjust displaying images so that they do not have any margins/padding like in JA Side News module (there is some added css property “no-padding double-rows” in the backend) but how to use it on html modules? Tried to add a div with such Module Class Suffix but it did not work:(

    Hi again,

It depends on the module which styles for this, you can make change these paddings by using Google chrome inspect element or Firebug for Firefox. Firstly, you need to set Compress CSS in template manager to No, then hover on the div having that padding, right click on it and then click on inspect element, it will show you which CSS class it is using and which CSS file and the path to this div on the right side. then you can find css rule for padding, change it as you wish.
