I think is this case you should assign Blog page to have a suffix class, just like aman said. Its quite straighforward. If you face difficulties accomplishing it, please update you admin & ftp account in your ticket, I shall help:

so you have updated in this ticket: TAF-308-29459
got it done for you, it works fine with CSS optimization ON now. what I have done:
1. create new layout default-blog, with an additional property in <layout> tag: body-class=”blogpage”
2. create new profile named wood-copy with the desktop layout set to “default-blog”
3. add this to template.css:

body.blogpage {
background-image: none !important;
}
