March 14, 2007 at 1:09 am #119154I am wondering how to effectively change colors instead of blue/green as in mainmenunav.
1. Is templatecss the only file to edit?
2. For example-this blue color#59B2C4 comes in several places in css including bg gifs. If I need to change this color, should I change in all occurences? ANf for green #60B071.
3. I guess I have to also change the corresponding bg-gifs. Should I change that in all different occurences?Since it is a big task, I wish to get input from developers. Please……?

March 14, 2007 at 8:54 am #215747Hello. Well, it is no necessarily all the “blue color #59B2C4” that you want to edit/change but in most cases this is the thing you want to do. Why I am saying this is that sometimes that same blue could be used for linking colour for example or something else you would like to keep blue. However, if you don’t want anything in that blue colour and would like to replace with a green or something else, yes, then you are “on the right track”. And yes, you would also have to edit/change the corresponding gifs. Otherwise you would see that parts of your site still comes out blue.
Colours used for transmenu and other menues sometimes comes in seperate files but for the “main page itself” you will find all the necessary styling in the template_css.css file.
Good luck and let us know if you have problems. You might also want to provide us with a live url or perhaps a screenshot if you are experiencing problems as that would make our job a lot easier. 🙂

March 15, 2007 at 7:51 am #215835You will find in the template_css.css the:
h1, h2
Usually they have more than one setting, colour being one of them. The best thing is to use the “find” or “find and replace” tool in notepad, dreamweaver or whatever program you are using and look for each appearance of the font you have changed. If you don’t see the h1 or h2 for the first try just hit “next result” and it will show the next result. Eventually the right one will show up.
You can do the same for the -blue.
Enter -blue in the “find” feature of your preferred program and make the necessary changes there.
Sorry for not being able to give you the exact location/ line number in the css file.

March 15, 2007 at 1:41 pm #215867I have already changed color codes in that file. Still it didn’t work. I am assuming there must be some bg image for the submenu. ANd I can’t find that image either.

Looking at the transmenuh.css file there is a message from the original
author that saysNOTE: TransMenu background and some
configurations are located in the ja-transmenu.js.Have a look in that js file and see if that will change what you want to change ?
Hope this gets it happening for you
