<blockquote>
1.
I currently have VirtueMart version 1.1.4 and Joomla Version 3.3.6</blockquote>JA Multilingual only support VirtueMart 2 now, it is not tested with VM3 (for Joomla 3.x). I have reported this issue to our development team, we will check and update JA Multilingual component to support VM3 asap, you can check this issue on our issue tracker system with link below
http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAECLANG-41<blockquote>Q.2 Does It support Kunena. ? Is there any way I can make my kunena forum be translated with this component. Kunena version ( 3.0.6 )</blockquote>
We do not support Kunena as well as other Joomla forums component, because we thought that there is no need to translate forum since its content is contributed from users, and they know what they post as well, so there is no need to translate this such content.

Yes, our component is designed to easily extend to support another 3rd extensions. There is no document for developer now, but if you are developer, you can easily to write an adapter to support your extension by adding new file in the folder:administrator/components/com_jalang/helpers/content/adapters
The file name is the table name of extension that you want to translate, you can read code of other files in this folder to know what class + methods that you need implement.

May 12, 2015 at 1:22 pm #570321Ok. Thanks a Lot for the Reply can you please tell how does it work for VirtueMart where does it store the translations. ?
I’m afraid that If I code for VirtueMart 1 I have to hack the component and that will stop me from updating in future. :((Thanh Nguyen Viet FriendThanh Nguyen Viet

May 13, 2015 at 2:26 am #570384Hello,
there is not any hack in JA Multilingual component to translate / store translation content for 3rd extensions, our component just helps to automatically translate your site by the way you do manually.
That means, JA Multilingual uses the way that 3rd extension provides to translate its content.
In the case of VM, it use external tables (with suffix it language tag) to store translation content of each language. And our component help to create this tables automatically.
so feel free to use JA Multilingual to translate your site without worry about upgrade your site later.
FYI: our dev team have confirmed that JA Multilingual still work with VM3 (for Joomla 3)
