Hi guys, I am trying to customize my template. I love how the JA_purity template’s fluid option. But I figured that I do not need my menus, that is the left and right column, to change to window and resoultion sizes. Is there anyway I can set only these two parts static at lets say at 150 pixel, and main body fluid?

I am new to CSS, I looked through the template.css file and tested each variable one by one to make my own documentation, but I don’t know how to accomplish both static and fluid parts in one page. Any help would be welcomed.

I would also like to know how to do this.

I would like the Left “Menu” Column to be Fixed width and non disappearing.

I would like the Right “modules” column to be Fixed width and disappearing.

Meanwhile the Body column remaining fluid.

Me too. However, it seems like noone has solved this issue yet that will post about it. I saw a template that does this.

Anyone on this? I’ve tried almost every change to the template.css, style.css and even tried a custom css.

Every change I have tried either throws columns down, over laps columns or does nothing to columns on sub pages with only 2 columns.

Really would like to figure out a fluid solution with a fixed pixel left column size. I can’t believe this is that difficult.
