Hey guys, this is my first post here and thought that perhaps you might help me out.
I want to use one of the joomlart templates for a community site. The template is not the problem now but perhaps the modules and components that i will use.

I need a website where there are three kind of users.

admins and moderators, paid members and regular members.
I need each visitor to be able to register and create a new profile. within each profile to be able to post pictures *own a gallery and even post videos.

Now, I know you can do that with community builder. but, what i need is that a free member cannot be allowed to see paid members profiles.when the user pays the account gets upgraded he then, get access to see those profiles.

I need a random profile module that displays the latest or top private or free members in frontpage. Is there a way to do that with community builder?

Would you recommend another module or plugin or component? I was thinking of joomsuite but there-s no demo and it seems is not released yet .

there are plenty you could use.

Community Builder could be the main component you’re after (http://www.joomlapolis.com)
Fireboard / VBulletin / PHPBB (a forum community)

best place to look for what you could do with is:

http://extensions.joomla.org

AEC should handle this

don’t know of one yet, but it would not be tough to get a custom mod made

I’ve not used joomsuite

JContentSubscription Extension Suite

you need to decide if your going to use 1.5.x or 1.0.x. its a trade off, but the 1.0.x right now has more functionality and module offerings than the 1.5.x series.
