I am wondering, if all extensions have compatibility to all templates? For example, can I use JA_News, or JA_Tabs or some recent modules, in older J 1.0.15 templates, like Olyra or Senecio?!

In basic yes it will work. But you need to think where you gonna use the modules. If you look at the demo pages for each template you can see that the module(extension) is placed in a specific area of the template, so you might need to do some changes regarding using it in a older template for the specific position you wanna use it in.

How about JavaScripts that new extensions are using? Maybe, template has to be updated with them?

In some cases yes, then you need to do that. However, most modules have the JS files in the modules and not in the template

Thanks, still waiting for full list of JA extensions. I do not understand, why JA is not publishing them separately also.

Well it seems that older templates are not working with new extensions, like Olyra. I’ve tried to install and use extensions which came with Helio, and they are not working.

I hope, that JA, will make all templates compatibile with new extensions, or at least some of them. As things goes here, I am afraid that we will have to wait and wait….and wait.
