I need help to edit/configure my BLOG page in JA Cloris. My BLOG page doesn’t log anything like it supposed to be. I want it to look exactly the one from the main template.
Bellow is a picture of my blog page at the moment.

Hi,
I don’t know how it is supposed to be, can you specify more? An URL is good to help!
Thanks

Hi jooservices,

I want mine to look exactly like the one on the demo, with the bonding box, date and everything.

Bellow is the link to the demo version as all as a screenshot of it.

Cheers,

Or you can install our quickstart as ref site than apply it into your live site ?
Btw, if you can’t do please just give me your backend URL than i can help you for checking / do it.
Thank you

Hi i have problem also with the Blog Layout
I have a quick Start installl, but i use a clean install for the final version

On my final website i cant get the date and icone and mail icone working with the correct ja-cloris-blog class
I done a test on the quick start i remove the ja-cloris-blog class ..result the date in the round dissapear …i put it back …clean the cache…and never came back again on the quick start install

We need a real documentation on this blog part ,its almost impossible to make this working without , from a clean install..
I compared both install during hours , with no success and now removing ja-cloris-blog class and put it back break the template without reason ; ja-cloris-blog is just a css class?

All the post here explain different issues and the only answer we got is start from the quick start in place of a real supprot or some clear documentation on the different class.

So please ,propose a clean Quick Start downlaod (without tone of module or content inactive )

Everyone who use Joomla know that when we unistall a modul most of the time data are still in in SQL and could be issue at the end

Think now i will never use again any template except the T3 blank or Ja purity that are very well documented and really well made

Joomla Support start to be really amateur, i will do myself if it was my job and i work as video editor?

So please could we get real support and even a real documentation

There is no sens that removing a css class in joomla break the template

Well, one the one hand you want your layout to look just like the demo – which is exactly what the quickstart+sample data provides – and then you turn around and criticize the suggestion. With all due respect, your comment is contradictory.

<em>@minsk 275755 wrote:</em><blockquote> Everyone who use Joomla know that when we unistall a modul most of the time data are still in in SQL and could be issue at the end</blockquote>
Really? … Everyone?

Actually, I’ve never experienced any issues removing modules I didn’t want/need after utilizing a quickstart+sample data installation.

Let me see if I understand you correctly . . .

– You asked a question regarding configuring an element of your template to display as in the demo version.
– This is exactly what you get with a quickstart+sample data installation, which is why the suggestion was made
– You reject said suggestion out-of-hand, and then assert that “everyone knows” that uninstalling modules causes issues “most of the time” … when, in fact, I am someone and I have never experienced one of these “most of the time” issues that -according to you – “everyone” seems to know about.

Did I miss anything?

There most definitely is if you are looking to make certain customizations that cannot be achieved otherwise – especially when you reject perfectly legitimate and acceptable recommendations based on the customization request you are making.

At this point, I would like to advise/remind you that our technical support services are dedicated for bug fixing, products maintenance or general advice on how to use the products only. All custom work that requires to extend products’ core features as shown on our demo site are not subject to support coverage and should be handled by clients.

Many of our Support Team Members – such as Viet – are often willing to assist with various customization and modification inquiries. Further, most of our Support Team have many years of web development experience – not only with Joomla but with multiple development disciplines. If, however, you feel that the time and suggestions offered to/for you is so “amateurish” (seemingly because you don’t feel like accepting recommendations that would actually achieve the results you are wanting), then perhaps you might feel more comfortable with other available alternatives – such as one of the freelance boards –> joomlancers.com, scriptlance.com, or freelancer.com – for example.

In the future … perhaps you might consider employing a bit more patience, consideration and respect for the process.

copy all the imagery & element styling from the QS to the “clean” version for the blog class and you’ll have it. firebug will help you greatly with this.
of course its a class. the “blog” function is nothing more then a unique view with styling.. This is standard Joomla and quite frankly HTML behavior
wait? You want us to explain how we use each class and why for a template? Seems like a stupid thing to do on our part. Might as well close the doors.
thats a very contradictory statement.. QS for joomla? ok np.. http://joomla.org download joomla 1.7 DO NOT INSTALL SAMPLE DATA… can’t get any cleaner then that.
sorry your mistaken here.. while yes, alot of dev’s are not careful about cleaning out old data, some leave it on purpose and for good reason… just cause the data is in the database doesn’t mean its doing anything.

removing class’s dont’ “break” anything. They may muck up the display but thats not the same as breaking… if you don’t like the name of the class or how it functions change it! Thats the beauty of .css your free to knock yourself out

Hi
Thanks for you answer
It will be maybe interresting for you to take a look to all the answers get on this forum since a while .
If the documentation was there ,i will say nothing.( I m not talking about the info how to change a menu …)

First i dont try to customise anything , i just try to use a feature coming stock
and try to figure out why a blog menu with a dedicated class doesnt work create from a quick start
or a clean install

So maybe try to remove the ja-cloris-blog class on the blog menu quick start and put it back
In my case i resintall twice and the date dissapear in the round

This happen on a local system and a dedicated linux server

Concerning uninstalling non desired module i had a fews times (not always ) to go to the sql to remove manually data coming with non desire module and could be issue with other module (Joomla as Magento)

For sure all the images galleris are move in the correct place ,like i tell you i use a clean install as base …and even on the quick start its doesnt work if you create a new blog or remove the class and put it back

I m using Firebug et web dev

I finally found the reason why i never success to get the round from the layout appear when creating a new blog menu

In fact the class was never applied because it need a blank space before the class ” ja-cloris-blog”

Maybe a _underscrore or a . will be great or it really need to be specify on the documentation

Thanks

provide a example of your code would you? I’d love to see that. I’ve never seen a issue of “space” needing to be in a css element

Hello n6rej
it was taking time in my mind to understand that the class was maybe not applied.
i didnt change the code ,i just finally saw that in the joomla backend the class work only if you insert a blank space
Enlarge for détails

It was simply that …

Have a nice day ,i will post on my own post in the futur

ok thats weird 😮 course normally we use _ as a “convention” but needing a space I’ve never heard of before.

Hi
This one i ‘m considering is it bug or not depend on how think of dev ?
As normally when we put “classname” into params in code it should be like
<div class=”default<spacehere>$classSuffix >
But somehow if dev don’t think space is needed so they will remove it.
In this case we have more customize because we can adding classname right after default classname.
So we can have like “defaultoverrided” etc…

Depends 🙂
Thank you
