March 15, 2007 at 8:44 am #119172Greetings!
Today, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you to MiCCAS – new Moderator at JoomlArt.
As JoomlArt continues to grow, we are setting up new Moderator to provide you a quicker and better support for our ultimate JoomlArt members.
MiCCAS is fairly new but he is very keen to his replies on JoomlArt forum and is one of the most helpful members here at JoomlArt. MiCCAS understands the process and administration of Joomla system as well as all JoomlArt templates, which puts him in a position to share his knowledge and experience. And one of true valuables to any community; MiCCAS always has something positive to say and loves to help others whenever he can.
MiCCAS has played an active role as a Moderator member at JoomlArt and I hope you can all join me in welcoming him to the Team.
And now it is time to enjoy a short interview with MiCCAS
-
Hi MiCCAS, can you tell us a little about you? How did you get your nickname? Where do you live and do you like your place?
Well, my nickname’s MiCCAS (its the first 3 letters of my first and last name) and the i is smaller than the rest as it represents IT, internet, and more of a independent technological sense. I currently live in Australia, and I must say whilst I haven’t been to any, there are plenty of Australian meetups!
-
How did you meet Joomla and JoomlArt?
Ok, this may sound funny but I actually learnt about Joomla on the cover DVD of a local magazine that we have in Australia. I was so excited to try it out that I setup a server here at my household, except I didn’t have very much knowledge back then and it didn’t really work out. A few month’s back however, I bit the bullet and tried again. And.. I worked it all out :). As for JoomlArt, I found it whilst looking for Joomla templates. I was always admiring the templates and I really wanted to be part of the community.
-
Have you used other CMS? Why you choose Joomla? What do you like best in Joomla?
I have tried other CMS’s, and I hate them! Drupal, xoops, e107.. I really do hate them. Joomla is my best CMS.
-
There are a lot of Joomla template providers out there? Why JoomlArt is your decision?
JoomlArt is my decision because of the quality of not only the templates but also the community in which it runs with. All you guys on the forum are awesome!
-
And what template do you think itβs best in JA portfolio up to now?
Ahh.. ****! You mean you want me to choose through all these wonderful templates to choose just one good one? Yikes! I would have to say eitherVilladi or Zebrina though, they are cool!
-
If you were JA Design Team leader, what is the first you thing you want to change in the template?
Well, I wouldn’t so much change the current ones but I’d certainly bring in a little bit more ajax (I love ajax) including the colour swapping, ajaxifying that would be awesome!
-
What kind of the templates you wanna to see in the coming time? Business, Artistic or natural style?
Well, I reckon a whole range but myself personally, I like professional but artistic.
-
I believe that our community is growing extremely recently, and you have played a very important role recently? How do feel those enhancements?
I feel these enhancements that have been brought on by myself and the rest of the development team have greatly impacted on user satisfaction. The comments I’ve heard so far have all been positive.
-
Tea, coffee while you are at keyboard? Do you smoke? π
I do not smoke, however a glass of blackcurrant juice is always favoured
-
What is your current employment status (what do you do)
I am currently at school learning to hopefully become a web designer myself.
-
What would you name as the achievement you are most proud of in your life to date?
My best achievement? Hmm.. I would certainly have to say launching and designing my own website. I feel so proud to say that I designed it it’s not funny, but I must say I owe it all to JoomlArt as it’s these guys that have inspired me to learn a lot about the Joomla template system.
-
Good luck man, you’ve been upgraded to JA Moderator. Before we finish, do you want to tell something to JA Team members as well as our ultimate member here?
Well, I think that covers it but guys, just wanna say what a great bunch of people you guys are:-*.
Thank you very much for your time, Miccas has allowed our JA Team to help our member quicker and more effectively with his knowledge. But I’m sure it won’t just stop there! π
I believe he will show us more surprise by sharing interesting Joomla tutorials and experiences in the coming time.Regards,
