http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/more-on-godaddy-hosting/They have stayed in contact with me and we are following up tomorrow at 6:30 PM EST
I have found my self in the position of consulting to godaddy on the various issues that members of this and other forums are having with godaddy hosting.
They know they have issues and are making a serious effort to address them.
Post all of your issues related to hosting and I will discuss them with godaddy.
Let em have guys and gals 🙂

November 10, 2008 at 9:06 pm #278747so we had a conference call about the issues with cust serv and tech.
I hesitate to tell what I now know about what works and does not work.
so lets just leave it like this
they have serious issues and they are working on them
I did not want to slam godaddy as they are making an effort, we need to give them kudos for listening to and responding to their customers issues, so I remain mildly optimistic about the results. Only time will tell.

November 11, 2008 at 2:09 am #278765well mj what a titanic effort you are investing on this.
in your post you say something really important standars. i have many times try things that never conrform to that so i bypass them. and from the begining i always learned the things one way and i do not want to relearn all that i know. i have made this way from the days i start webdesign to the present(like 8-10 years) and make my life a little bit easier

November 11, 2008 at 4:11 am #278779thak you shertmann, that is my point exactly
we should not have to learn their system and they should not be providing workarounds.
their functionality should conform to standard protocols
I am very impressed with the efforts they are making

November 11, 2008 at 6:55 am #278785and mj there is a basic principle that you never forget in bussines: the client has always the reason and he pays for what he wants not for what you can offer, if both are the same good you have a customer but if not then you loose a customer. even if you think you are programming for dummies you have to be intuitive, and defintively they are not
