Hi, I have installed JA ores Joomla 1.6 and the contact component is not working, I have created the category and contact and filled in the details and then created the menu, but when I click the menu link in the frontpage I get a black page. I am working offline on the moment using MAMP but will be making the site live this week. Does anyone else have this problem in 1.6? I have used this component before without any problems. I also tried to install DFcontact for 1.6 as an alternative but get the same issue a blank page showing no contact details or form.

Any help appreciated.

Try disable sef urls to see if it helps

Also, Please ensure to have configured it properly::

I disabled sef urls but still have the problem, I followed the advice in the link but cannot rename htaccess file as .files are saved for system files so I am unable to do this so have kept Apache mod-rewrite set as no.
