The default contact form does not seem to be picking up my ‘Mail from” value in global config settings. It keeps using the default email@email.com and thus failing. I am using SMTP.

I have tried using a third party form module and that picked up the correct global config value and works fine so I am assuming it is template/framework specific.

Any help on fixing it would be appreciated.

Contact form is default joomla core extension and template only offers in styling to the specific extension

You may wish to also post this in joomla.org forum
