October 22, 2009 at 1:35 pm #321253on a hunch i opened up the default_form.php file in the template>telline3>html>com_contact and compared to the default_form.php in components> com_contact— compared the 2 side by side in not only code view; but, design view and you can clearly see the text boxes misaligned…
i copied the file from the components folder and although it did improve the layout it stills blows out the template….
i think this is a bug…

October 23, 2009 at 5:39 am #321298I’ve got the same problem. Not on the main ‘list of contacts’ page, but when I click through into individual contacts it trashes the entire layout.
Hopefully you can see the problem here:
Main Contact Page:
Individual Contact Page:
Certainly looks like a bug to me!

October 23, 2009 at 6:57 am #321305SOLUTION!!!!!
ok this is what your going to have to do…in my case i just replaced the default.php file with the default.php file from components>com_contact>views>contact>tmpl folder
in my case i replaced 2 files: default_forms and default.php— i had just replaced the default_forms file earlier… i didnt think to check out the default too…
http://66.110.213.15/City/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=544
in your case you should overwrite these 2 files: default_items and default.php with the same files from com_contact>views>category>tmpl folder
if you compare each of the file’s side by side you will see they are each missing the a div id with a specific table width…

October 23, 2009 at 2:38 pm #321365I’ve added several <br /> to the default_form.php from folder ‘templatesja_teline_iiihtmlcom_contactcontact’ to fix the issue.
Fixed “default_form.php” is attached.
For me it worked, but still, code seems to be not very clean. For example, class=”contact_email” is applied to all form fields, but in Joomla’s original contact form, every field has its class.

October 23, 2009 at 2:45 pm #321366gray compare the file’s with the contact file’s in com_contact and you will see what i am talking about… the file’s there are clean and concise if that make’s any sense… your better off copying those and replacing the them in the html folder… the one’s in the html folder are missing a <div> and have absolutely no table formatting at all..
just a thought
good lucktrey

October 23, 2009 at 3:13 pm #321368That exactly what I’ve done – compared the 2 files in Notepad++
Absence of table tags to my mind is not a minus, but just approach – avoiding of table formatting.
Actually, instead of coppying the files, it’s possible to remove the COMPLETE folder “templatesja_teline_iiihtmlcom_contact” to allow stardart component to work without overwritting. I checked it on localhost, it worked for me.
