February 19, 2010 at 9:05 pm #333180Hello,
Your question is not very clear?
A possible “contact us” you can setup yourself by creating a menu-item which publishes the component com_contact.
The output of this core component is overwritten in template file html/com_contact/category/default.php or html/com_contact/contact/default.php.Good luck,

February 20, 2010 at 6:27 am #333204Sorry if i was not clear as I am a bit confused. I want to have a Contact Us page on my site. Ideally I would like to have it positioned on the top of the site inbetween the date and the search function http://www.vivaasiamagazine.com
I tried creating a menu item but whenever i do that i cannot find it afterwards. Sorry for sounding so dumb.

February 20, 2010 at 9:38 am #333223Hello Jim,
When you want to create a menu-item Contact and publish it in megamenu, you have to do it indirectly. Megamenu is a module in which you can publish modules.
So:- You create a new menu, called for instance Contacts.
- You create a menu-item in this menu, called Contact. As Menu-Item-Type you select one of the options for the contact-component.
- You open module manager, select the menu-module of the Contacts-menu, and publish it on position mega-item.
That’s it!
Maybe this is what you are looking for.
Succes,
